An experienced human resources generalist, Emily is ideally suited to introducing an official HR platform into this growing business. Holding a Bachelor of Business and Commerce with a double major in HR and Management, Emily has worked in both large and small private companies as well as government organisations. The scope of Emily’s role with us will incorporate recruitment and selection, learning and development, performance and accountability and industrial relations.
“I feel like a kid in a lolly shop! Having the opportunity to bring in improvements and build the HR processes from the ground up is so exciting.
It’s all about staff retention through building and maintaining the right team culture to improve overall business performance and profitability. Kingbuilt has grown rapidly in recent years, and the need for a dedicated HR resource has become critical.
My first connection to Kingbuilt was when my partner and I chose them to build our home. The major attraction for us was the prospect of building with no risk. You know exactly what you’re getting and the customer service is outstanding. Any issues we had as customers were dealt with then and there. The culture’s great, it felt like it would be a good place to work, and it really is. Kingbuilt’s values align with my personal values, and that’s so important.”
Born and bred in Traralgon, Emily is passionate about the local region and more broadly, Gippsland. She is keen to see change in the Latrobe Valley following the closure of the power stations and is pleased to be doing her bit to drive the local economy.
Outside of work, Emily is a country music loving, outdoorsy, family oriented, self professed computer nerd. When you meet her, ask Emily about her last camping trip or about the time she met Taylor Swift in the US…
Welcome to the team, Emily!
